Kandace Brown: An exemplary leader in her church and community who motivates other to reach their full potential, while forging ahead to reach her goals as a communications major. 

Bright Star Church of God In Christ

 2nd Annual Care Giver's Conference

Bright Star C.OG.I.C. is a church that desires to assist and support individuals & families to be spiritually, mentally & emotionally whole.  They host the "CareGiver's Conference bringing together experts to discuss and provide information about, self-care, caregiver laws, insurance, legal & financial information & other resources. 


MEJ B&PW provides support by securing speakers, funding and organizational leadership for and during the Conference. Last year we were able to provide AARP with 2 individuals to share their experiences.

Grant Writing Workshop

Evangelist Sonya Simpson, Member of the COGIC B&PW and founder of Divinely Favored Ministry's has a desire to help catapult women and men to step out on faith in order to pursue their visions and dreams in life. The Ministry's  unique delivery motivates, challenges, encourages and inspires change through the Word of God: with a goal to “Develop the Leader in You!”

Our focus is to bring value to ministries and the community by providing ways to collaborate and partner with business & organizations to deliver goods and services that will enhance their vision. 

The "Grant Writing Workshop" is a partnership facilitated by  President Alfreda Moore, between MEJ B&PW and La Quetta Shamblee AKA "The Grant Builder",   to help individuals and groups realize their funding goals and to support the community at large. 

Testimonial Love Center Homeless Shelter

"When the Vow Breaks III"

September 27 -28, 2019

The Testimonial Love Centers provides emergency shelter for women and children year round. Each year for the past three years the Love Center has hosted the "When the Vow Breaks" Conference that focus on a day of special events and motivational speakers to give the participants from the shelter a day of enjoyment & hope. 

The MEJ Business & Professional Women will support by providing special gifts for the little girls in attendance.  Our goal is to make each little girl feel "fearfully & wonderful made", increasing their self esteem & self worth.
