"Being the Bridge"

There's lots of troubled water in this world. I remember the song by Simon & Garfunkel entitled, “Bridge Over Trouble Water”. It isn’t a “Christian” song but it is my sentiment. We will all agree that we are in troubled times, because there is the very visible kind of trouble: economic and social chaos, poverty, famine, killings, and social injustice of all kinds. All we have to do is turn on the TV to see it. We see it in our own cities and towns, we see as we drive down the road or walk down the street. Then there is the less visible, personal kind of trouble. We all know someone who's had life knocked them down; whether they've been betrayed by a loved one, fired from a job, hurt in an accident, impacted by natural disaster, diagnosed with a serious illness, or involved in emotional or legal drama and don't know how to escape. Some of us have probably felt some of those troubled waters rise around yourself and wondered if there was any help to be found.
So, what do we do in the face of such overwhelming trouble? We look for bridge that brings us to solutions. We strive to find the ties that bind us where we are broken. Lifestyle of Worship Ministry (L.O.W), whole-heartedly looks to be a part of the solution. We speak and live from our core values of encouragement and integrity. We are grounded in love and faith and charity, even when we, ourselves, are struggling. We strive to be the bridge for physical and spiritual disasters. We look to build a bridge across churches and communities. We try to listen more than we talk, and we pray before we act.
We are the bridge for others.
We do this by collaborating with other organizations, who can perform health checks, provide Christian counseling, give financial and insurance advice; as well as provide spiritual guidance. We provide a way across the troubled waters so those in need don't have to drown. We can’t be everything to everyone, but we can be something for someone.
Each of us is unique, and each of us brings our own personality, experience, and skillset to this monumental task of helping others to live with intention and wholeheartedness. Among us are communicators, social engineers, artists, healthcare worker, entrepreneurs, strategists, workers, prayer warriors, encouragers, writers…mothers, fathers, sisters, and brothers. When we embrace each other's gifts and work together, we create an amazing force for good.
Therefore, “The Complete Lifestyle of Worship Summit” is necessary. On September 14th and 15th, we will come together in Dallas, Texas to provide bridges over health waters, over economic and financial waters, and bridges over spiritual waters. We have been called to be bridge builders. Isn’t that who God was looking for in Ezekiel 22:30, when He declared, “And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.”
We declare that we have been found!
